Quick Quotes

Q. I mean, have yourself a day. 7-under 65. Really solid. Just take us through your round, some of the highlights.

HYO JOON JANG: I had few short putts that I had a birdie chance at the first, front nine, and I caught those better than yesterday. My putting was better and the mood was better, so that's why I could have done better than yesterday. That's how I made a lot of the birdie today, so...

Q. How did you keep yourself calm with such a big final round?

HYO JOON JANG: For sure I will just try my best every, every single hole, and I tried to forget what I've done and just keep going. I thinking it's not done yet, and my caddie is always telling me to commit every single shot, so that make me calm.

Q. You're still pretty young, 18.

HYO JOON JANG: Yes, I'm 18.

Q. How validating is it for you in your pursuit of your goals to come out here and play with some of the better players in the world?

HYO JOON JANG: So originally I'm from South Korea and I only been here for two years. Since I played golf my goal has been turning pro straightaway whenever I have a chance. My parents are really supportive about it, so I get to come out this tournament and I really like to compete other people.

Yes, I think that (indiscernible) me.

Q. So you're heading to Q-Series in a little bit -- about over a month. What are some of your goals for Q-Series?

HYO JOON JANG: First I think I need to take care of my energy for sure. I need to work on few stuff of my wedge and putting, bit more stable putting, and for sure for the working out and the ready for to go.

Q. What's your experience been like at IJGA?

HYO JOON JANG: Oh, it's International Junior Golf Academy, which is boarding school, which is great for me. I'm international and my parents are not over in America. So it's very good facility to do school and golf both, so I think it's really great for that.

Q. Are you still in high school or taking college classes?

HYO JOON JANG: No, I'm still senior year of high school, yeah.

Q. If you do get your card you're going to...

HYO JOON JANG: Yeah, I'm going to straight off go to pro. If it's not, I might consider to go in college, yeah.

Q. I mean, you had a big milestone for Korea, the 200th win by Jin Young Ko. How much do you follow the Korean players on the LPGA?

HYO JOON JANG: Oh, my God, I love them. I obviously I saw the BMW tournament just now that Jin Young Ko won. I have a lot of role model that I can look up, and I competed before and I was like National Team at Korea, which is that make me very strong and it's helping me.

Q. What are you most looking forward to at Q-Series?

HYO JOON JANG: You mean like a result?

Q. A result, are you just excited to have the opportunity?

HYO JOON JANG: For sure. I will be so excited to see other players. Like even I (indiscernible) not play, like it's going to be super good experience so I'm excited for it.

Q. Who was on your bag this week? Who caddied for you?

HYO JOON JANG: It's my coach and he also caddie me for Stage I, which is very -- I appreciate it, yeah.

Q. Is it nice to have your coach on the bag?

HYO JOON JANG: Yeah, and he mostly more support me like second dad over in America, which is very like, I don't know what to say, it's really good thing.

Q. Heartwarming.

HYO JOON JANG: Uh-huh.

Q. Having those kinds of support systems, how much does that help you?

HYO JOON JANG: It's huge, especially my family is not over here. Someone who's caddieing me and saying it's fine and eating food together, it's very huge. If he was not with me I wouldn't be here, so I appreciate how he support me.
