NL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES: BRAVES VS DODGERS

October 23, 2021

Jorge Soler

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Truist Park

Atlanta Braves

Pregame 6 Press Conference

Q. How tough was it to miss the games that you did and what do you take away from this experience?

JORGE SOLER: Yeah, I feel really bad not being with the team, not -- having COVID is, it was tough for him, for the family for the team, so I really missed not being here.

Q. What were you able to do while you were away to make sure you still had the timing when you came back for full go?

JORGE SOLER: After what happened I started wearing a mask after the fifth day and watching games and everything. But I was moving around. I was working out. I was doing a lot of running and stuff around my house with the mask on.

Q. I want to confirm, you never had any symptoms at any point. Were you feeling fine the whole time?

JORGE SOLER: No, I didn't ever feel anything.

Q. What was it like, we got to see in Los Angeles all the guys giving you the hugs and they were so excited to see you, so what does it mean to be back with the team now at such a crucial time?

JORGE SOLER: Yeah, I feel very happy and I missed that a lot.

Q. Does this change your perception of vaccinations and why people are, should be vaccinated?

JORGE SOLER: Yeah, I feel way different now. I feel bad about it and I'm going to get a shot as soon as I can.

Q. When you get as old as I am you start forgetting things. I was wondering if Eddie could remind me as to who the MVP was the last time the Braves went to the World Series?

EDDIE PEREZ: Everybody knows.

Q. Do you know?

JORGE SOLER: No. (Laughing.)

EDDIE PEREZ: Now he knows. Now he knows.

JORGE SOLER: It's Eddie.

EDDIE PEREZ: Yeah. (Laughing.) I had to have surgery after the playoff because I was carrying the whole team. (Laughing)

Q. You weren't in the lineup the last time when you came back off of COVID in L.A. but I was curious how you felt in the one plate appearance that you had.

JORGE SOLER: I feel really good. It was not good results, but I felt really good.
