West Caldwell, New Jersey, USA

Mountain Ridge Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Lindsey Weaver, a 4-under 67 today. Had a heck of a start on your opening nine, which is the back nine. What was working on the well for you out there?

LINDSEY WEAVER: I was just making a lot of putts at the beginning and hitting al lot of greens. I think I missed two greens on the front but I holed out from the bunker on 17, so just kind of had it going. Made a bogey on 2 but just kind of hung in there toward the end.

Q. Another finish in the dark. How important is it on a day like today to just to get it done?

LINDSEY WEAVER: The utmost. Literally nothing is more important. I was telling my caddie, I would hate to be playing No. 9 at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. So I'm happy to be done, even though I made bogey on it. I'm just happy I don't have to wake up at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow.

I'm good. I'm happy with it.

Q. Sleep a little later. Heading into the weekend, how does the mindset change? I know you're kind of on the bubble for the end of the season. How are you approaching Saturday and Sunday?

LINDSEY WEAVER: Just to kind of keep doing what I've been doing. I been hitting the ball really well. Just continue that into tomorrow.

Hopefully make a couple more putts and, yeah, I mean, I think this is my last tournament of the season, so I am just happy to be here. This is my last tournament as Lindsey Weaver as well. I'll be Lindsey Wright next season, so I'm excited for that, too.

And just whatever happens, I'm just taking it all in stride.

Q. Four hours and just under 20 minutes. When was the last time you played a tour event in that speed?

LINDSEY WEAVER: I think we played around the same when we were first off yesterday. We were a quick group. We were lucky with our pairing.

Q. Do you play well when you play fast?

LINDSEY WEAVER: Yeah, I think so. Because like I'm a very quick player myself, so it's nice to be around people who kind of also -- at the end when we're trying to get there, it helps to be with players who also play fast and want to get done and we're kind of all on the same page.

Q. You talk about this being the last event of the year. Did you enter with any pressure or expectations that you put on yourself to finish strong?

LINDSEY WEAVER: No, not really. I mean, I haven't had that spectacular of a year, but I know I'll be out here next year. That's great. If I can have a good week and finish this week and secure in the top 80, that would be great. Make CME, who knows. Just all going to pan out the way it does.

I'm just trying to play my best and not really think about it.

Q. When you are trying to finish and it is getting dark, how do you still try to execute your shots without feeling like you're being rushed?

LINDSEY WEAVER: That's a good question. I don't know. You kind of -- I mean, you want to play fast, but at the same time, you still have to focus on your shot. I didn't really miss the mark there. I focused on every shot. It was tough to keep up at times, but mostly you just make it up walking to and from shots.

So once you get to your shot you have enough time to just deliberate and focus.

Q. When you're near the top of the leaderboard, how do you stay calm?

LINDSEY WEAVER: I think you kind of just like rest on your morals, and I've played well thus far, so it's like I'm just going to keep doing that and just not really get ahead of myself, not really think about it.

Just keep hitting shots and making putts and trying my best.

Q. Thank you.

LINDSEY WEAVER: Uh-huh.

Q. One more quick one. We had Chella up here earlier and were talking about wedding planning while being a pro golfer. How has this process been like for you so far?

LINDSEY WEAVER: It's been fine. I've been engaged for from years so it was not much of a rush for me. It's nice to have my mother to help with a lot of tedious stuff, so...
