Adam Hadwin

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

TPC Summerlin

Quick Quotes

Q. Adam, 7-under par, good ground. Pretty good round for the whole group. So talk a little bit about your day.

ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, obviously, a great group to play with, two good guys, very easygoing, some chatter out there. So very stress-free from that point of view.

But saw a few putts go in early, some for par, some for birdie, so it was nice to keep momentum going. And, yeah, just, I did what I needed to do today, kept hitting greens, giving myself chances, and like I said, a few of those longer ones rolled in today.

Q. The weather didn't really seem to affect you, but how was it out there sort of off and on throughout?

ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, it was fine. We never got anything too heavy to really be too worried about. Obviously we had the umbrella in and out a couple times, but I don't think it was really enough to affect things. If anything, it just kind of made the golf course maybe a little bit more receptive and it was, there was just no breeze, really, to speak of either. So I thought a low one was out there.

Q. What has really been working so well for you through two rounds and what's your goals heading into the weekend?

ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, I mean, I hit it really well yesterday. It felt like I hit it better yesterday. I just didn't make as many putts.

Today I got the putter going a little bit. My speed control was a little bit better and so that kind of frees everything else up. You don't have to be as perfect.

So I'm looking forward to a good weekend, just kind of keep grinding out one shot at a time. I know you guys hear that all the time, but that's really what it is.

Q. Take us through the eagle on 16, if you can.

ADAM HADWIN: Yeah, I hit a perfect tee shot. We had about just under 230 pin, kind of in between clubs, not quite, it wasn't quite a full 21, if I missed it at all, it was in the water, so we went one club up to my 2-hybrid. Knew that I could basically cut it as much as I wanted to and I wasn't going to -- I was going to cover the water.

So gave myself plenty of room on the left, played a nice big high cut, and it worked out perfect.
