TPC Summerlin

Quick Quotes

Q. 6-under, 65. Nice round. If we can get some comments.

ADAM SCHENK: Yeah, it was obviously a little trickier today. We managed it pretty well and kept a pretty hot putter, made a nice par save on the last, which will make dinner taste a little better.

But just was interviewed on PGA TOUR radio. I guess I had nine 3s, so that helps with the score. Just made the putts I needed to make, stayed out of trouble for the most part, and that's about it, just took care of a lot of the scorable holes.

Q. Not only trickier today than it was yesterday, but also trickier on the back nine than it was on the front, correct, with the conditions?

ADAM SCHENK: It was. The wind really came up on hole 8. That was when it really started.

And 9 played really short. Everything downwind and it started to firm up a little bit, so just played that much shorter. And into the wind, holes like 18 just played a lot harder than yesterday, obviously.

Q. Currently tied for the lead. How excited are you for the weekend?

ADAM SCHENK: Yeah, I'm pumped. I feel like I've been golfing better as of late. I figured out something with my putting which hopefully stays around for a while.

So yeah, just excited for another opportunity and to see what I can do this weekend.

Q. You'll need the putter to keep working just because it's going to be a lot of birdies out there, so you got to keep the pedal to the metal this weekend.

ADAM SCHENK: Absolutely. You play a nine holes and 1-under, even, you see somebody shooting 5-, 6-under on nine holes and you feel like you're getting lapped, but just at the same time staying patient and you're going to get on a run of two or three or four or five out of six holes, hopefully, so just kind of waiting for your opportunity.

Q. Only bogey of the week you actually said was your best swing of the week. You don't hear that often?

ADAM SCHENK: No, it was. It was a good swing, it just probably wasn't the right swing. I just should have just hit a little easier, a little softer draw, but I got a little steep which I like to do in my golf swing and I just kind of hammered it. It was a good shot, just not the right one.
