Q. We are joined by Stacy Lewis after a solid second round of 5-under 66 with five birdies on the card and an eagle at No. 9.

Stacy, you've had some moments that you were really fighting out there this week, but you managed to put two solid days in terms of scores together. What's your perspective of how the tournament has gone so far?

STACY LEWIS: It could have been a lot better and could have been a lot worse. The finish yesterday was key. Made 10-footer on 8 and a 10-footer on 9, eagle, birdie -- or birdie, eagle, and can kind of just shifted the momentum really and just kind of changed the way I went into the day.

It's been a little bit all over the place, but I'm hitting it great, so I just need to keep giving myself as many chances as I can. You know, at one point today I made seven threes in a row, which I don't think I've ever done that.

Obviously there is a lot more good today than yesterday.

Q. Two big wins on links golf course. This is very linksy. Firm and fast, a lot of run-ups. What is it about this that you like?

STACY LEWIS: Just have to be creative. It's not one golf shot. You have to go kind of create shots in your brain and kind of see them, and if you get in the rough this week, you have to lean it towards the green. There is no other shot.

So I think if anything, it's probably playing a little tougher this year than in years past just because it is so firm. There is a couple greens that are a little bit unpredictable. You get downwind and it's hard to stop the wedge.

So it's playing smart and making some putts when I have the chance.

Q. Do you prefer an event where you've got to be 5-under every day?

STACY LEWIS: I don't know. I've won in all types I feel like. I mean, I played well here just because I like the golf course. I like links golf and I think that's why.

But I don't know. Every now and then it's nice to see the ball bounce and not just hitting and stopping, showing off some creativity in some different shots from the girls.

Q. Leader could have three-, four-, five-shot lead going into tomorrow. What's the mindset trying to chase her down? Is it doable? There are lots of birdies out there. Unpredictable, but what kind of --

STACY LEWIS: You know, it's doable. You've seen some low scores here in the past. Obviously need a little bit of help, but I played with Jin Young last week, and, I mean, she had so many putts just right over the edge, right over the edge.

She's playing so solid right now that I don't know if she's going to help us out too much. Got to go make some birdies, take advantage of the par-5s. That's really the key to this golf course.
