THE MODERATOR: Your thoughts on the match.

SHINGO KUNIEDA: Yes, it was very tough because I played Tokyo 2020, then this week US Open, two big tournament in a row. I really exhausted, very tired.

Before the match I felt I couldn't move any more (smiling). But I entered to the court, then I felt, yes, I can do one more match.

That's all today.

THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Now that Tokyo and the US Open are over, can you reflect on this period of time and what you've achieved.

SHINGO KUNIEDA: Yes, I really happy now. But my first emotion is very tired now (laughter). I want take rest after this and I want taste this happy moment after back to Japan.

Q. Today's match was very different to your three sets last year. What do you think of your performance today? Do you think you were playing your best?

SHINGO KUNIEDA: Today's performance was my best including Paralympics. Yes, even I was very tired, but I could play my best. I'm proud about it.

Q. What do the last two weeks mean to you, the gold medal in your home country, then end this two weeks with a Grand Slam? How happy are you?

SHINGO KUNIEDA: Yes, now is happiest moment in my life. But first I want to take rest now, yeah, so... It is my first feeling, yeah.
