Q. Take us through the last hole, the strategy going left and take us through the putt.

LEXI THOMPSON: Well, the strategy was to hit the fairway left first. It's a difficult fairway to hit in general just because of the slope of it, and for me especially, but I tried to hit it left and just missed the fairway there and Brit got me into a perfect spot.

All I needed to do was -- wanted her on the green for me to get a putt at it, and happened to roll it.

Q. Yesterday you had the lead; they came back. What goes through your mind when it gets close like that?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: I mean, I think Lexi and I's attitude today was just go beat them, get ahead, stay ahead, and just play our games and be aggressive. I think we did that.

Q. When you come out in the morning and there's a fine line, you're behind and not pushing too hard, how do you balance that to not try too hard?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it's all about a mindset. You go into every day just wanting to do your best. We came into the day just playing actually for Grace Park. It's her first birthday today; she's going through some health problems right now, and we just wanted to keep a smile on our faces for her and keep her in our prayers, and came out today kind of with that attitude that we're just blessed to be out here.

We get along so great, and we just -- if we hit a few bad shots, we're there for each other to pick each other up, and whatever happens happens, right?

Q. Lexi, you putted really, really well today. What got your putter fired up?

LEXI THOMPSON: Seeing a few go in always helps. But I've been putting well. It's just a matter of confidence, seeing a few go in out there, and that's all putting is. It's a matter of just trusting the stroke and those lines out there. It was a great day.

Q. When did you catch the momentum, you two?

BRITTANY ALTOMARE: We played really well yesterday, and I just felt like we kind of needed to take that momentum into today.

She's putting really well and I felt like I was hitting it well, and felt like we gelled really well today.
