Quick Quotes

Q. It did not look good on the front nine, both for you and your Team USA. There was a big blue wave on the board. What did you say to yourselves to flip the scenario?

LIZETTE SALAS: Well, this one here is ice cold. I don't have to tell her anything. I think she was telling me stuff and she was reading putts for me. She was just all around an amazing team player these last two matches.

I did what I could and we got the job done together.

Q. Jennifer, it seems like you're raising your game in big time events is in your DNA. What was it like when you made that putt on 15 and coming up here to the last hole at 17, rolling in that putt and hearing all the cheers?

JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, I definitely live under this. I mean, it's super fun just to be able to hear the crowd roar. I think it's super exciting for me. I mean, I love the sound of it. I'll just keep doing it hopefully.

Q. What are two or three of the things that you took out of some of the team meetings that you had either last night or this morning that you put into play?

LIZETTE SALAS: Well, I think we just told ourselves that we're Team USA and we need to play Team USA golf. We're some of the best players in the world.

And I feel like we don't have to do anything special. We just come out here and do our thing. But these girls don't need any pep talks. They know what to do, and Jennifer and all the all rookies, they've been solid. Pat needed to come and tell me something on 10, and I was just happy to get the job done for the team.

Q. What did she say to you?

LIZETTE SALAS: Keep your head up and just keep giving yourself opportunities. That's all I needed. This one right here was rock solid, and if wasn't for her, it would have been very different. We're just happy to get that red point on the board.

Q. How was it to come out here this morning and win this session?

LIZETTE SALAS: It was huge. You know, alternate-shot is very, very difficult. Team USA got the job done this morning. We kind of all got together last night and we kind of said a few things, and we're just trying to use it to our advantage.

Q. Jennifer, you were down early in that match; how did you get back into it? What was the key?

JENNIFER KUPCHO: I think honestly after yesterday, we were also 2-down and came back and won, so I just kept telling myself, hey, we can turn this around, and we did, so it's super cool.

Q. How much was it seeing that red on the board, how important was that for your momentum?

LIZETTE SALAS: Oh, it's huge. Whenever we can get the crowd on our side it's such an amazing feeling, and I think that's what really helped us turn that board into seeing some more red.

Obviously it's a team effort, but these fans really pulled us together this morning.
