Quick Quotes

Q. What was the grind like out there between you and Nelly?

JESSICA KORDA: We couldn't get into a rhythm at the start. It's a tough golf course, and I think you can see that playing it. Not a lot of birdies to have. We just couldn't get into a groove. It's just tough, but we came back and gave it our best.

But Leona made everything coming in, and it's tough to kind of do anything when they make no mistakes. I don't even think they made like a team bogey.

Q. Between the first tee, being able to take those tee shots there, what did it mean to you to finally hear the crowd, hear the Solheim Cup atmosphere?

JESSICA KORDA: It was awesome. That chip-in I had on 12 or 13 was so sick. I mean, that's what you hope for. It's like, that is the Solheim Cup, and that's what's really cool.

Q. Take me through just that chip there, and we finally got to see that patented Korda fist pump.

JESSICA KORDA: Oh, it just comes out. I don't know, I have no comment towards that.

Q. I meant take me through the chip which led to the fist pump.

JESSICA KORDA: Oh, sorry. It was really, really cool. We had a good lie. We were looking at putter, weren't sure what to go with, and honestly I just committed to chipping it, knowing that that's kind of the best that I can do.
