Quick Quotes

Q. You've been on an incredible run the last year, year and a half. Obviously this didn't end the way up wanted it to, but were you able to look back at all at what you were able to accomplish leading up to this, or is it still too soon to think about that yet?

ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, I feel like I haven't thought about it a lot, but I definitely tried to keep in my stride. Coming into this week I just didn't have the best game. I had to grind through stroke play, and then in match play obviously you can't make any mistakes.

So I just did one too many and it was costly. I think overall it was a good experience and I tried to fight back. Looking forward to my next couple events in the summer.

Q. Going into those what are you most looking forward to or what are you going to be able to take away from this experience? You played almost lights out the entire week at the Girls' Junior. Came up a little short here. What can you learn from that to take forward?

ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, yeah, I'll be able to take a small little break before I go to Scotland, and then from there it's definitely going to be links golf, and that's a grind in itself. I'm just going to take all the lessons I learned from this week, including my game, and just go back to fundamentals and play more in Scotland and Wales.

Looking forward to it. And then in college I'll be able to grow even more, and I think it's good that I'm able to have these opportunities.

Q. Talk about your opponent. What was she able to do today that worked so well around the course? Seemed like you were in control for a little bit, and then she just fought back at the end.

ROSE ZHANG: Exactly.

Q. And when the pressure was on, she delivered.

ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, Elle was playing amazing from the start. She definitely did not leave any room for errors. I've known her since junior golf so I always knew she was a very good player.

So overall in the back nine I did make a couple putts but also missed couple. I left myself in not good areas for pars. So it was just those small shots.

But I think Elle played amazing and she definitely delivered in the last couple holes, so props to her.
