Westchester Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. You got off to a hot start. Talk a little bit about how well you were playing and just the round overall.

RACHEL HECK: Yeah, just one of those days where everything was really clicking, everything felt good, I felt really confident over the ball.

Just wanted to go have fun out there. Stroke play can be the stressful part, so once you make it to match play you just got to have fun.

Q. Yeah. I think it was three birdies you got on the first five holes which you ended up winning. Talk me through those holes.

RACHEL HECK: Yeah, it's kind of funny because those I think were some of the most tucked pins, so I wasn't really going at them. I was aiming 10 feet right or I just picked good lines, hit my lines. I think I had a good strategy going into it and I really committed to that and it worked out well for me.

Q. Yeah. Was the course playing tougher today than it did for the first few rounds of stroke play?

RACHEL HECK: I think some of the pins were tougher for sure, but just a total different mentality. You're not really comparing it to stroke play that much because you're playing your competitor, so it's just a different mentality. It's really fun.
