THE AMUNDI EVIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

July 25, 2021

Nelly Korda

Evian-les-Bains, France

Evian Resort Golf Club

Quick Quotes

Q. So that was a good way to end a major week with an eagle. Overall what's the takeaway from this week?

NELLY KORDA: I hit my irons really well. Hit it off the tee really well. Just could not get anything going on the greens. A little disappointed with how I putted, but still taking some positives away going into the Olympics hitting my irons well.

Q. Absolutely. Tell me about the eagle here on 18. Again, a good way to finish.

NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I missed probably three six-footers coming in on 15, 16, 17, so I honestly was kind of amped up on that drive. Hit it far. Had only an 8-iron in and struck it well.

And then I honestly just rammed it in the back of the hole. I was just more of like, Okay, I just want to finish on a good note.

Q. Good. Take that into the Olympics. What is your plan now for the next week before you head to Tokyo?

NELLY KORDA: See my family. Going to Prague, which I'm very excited about. Haven't seen them in two years.

Practice as well and get ready for the next stretch that's coming up.

Q. Yep. Will you be focusing on the putting as you said?

NELLY KORDA: Yes.

Q. Do you have a coach in Prague at all or will you be doing it all?

NELLY KORDA: No, all myself. Yeah.
