U.S. GIRLS' JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

July 14, 2021

Karoline Tuttle

Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

Columbia Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Just talk a little bit about the match overall.

KAROLINE TUTTLE: Yeah, started out well. Birdied 3 and 4. Those were some good birdies to get the momentum going, but kind of stumbled middle of the round. But able to get a couple back on 16 and 17, so that was nice.

I think my shot on 18 hit the flagstick, but two-putt par was nice to seal the deal.

Q. When you kind of have that up-and-down in the round, how does that boost your confidence to be able to bounce back?

KAROLINE TUTTLE: Yeah, when it's down you just have to take a few deep breaths, one shot at a time, just kind of stay within yourself and know that you can hit some good shots and come back.

Q. How did the course play different in terms of a match play versus stroke play?

KAROLINE TUTTLE: It played different, yeah. Some of the pins were tougher. Greens got a little firmer, got a little faster today. Some shots that you would probably hit middle of the green -- yeah, it was tough.

Q. Done early; what's your plan for the rest of the day?

KAROLINE TUTTLE: Not much. Probably just go relax in the hotel, maybe eat some food.
