JOHN DEERE CLASSIC

July 11, 2021

Seamus Power

Silvis, Illinois, USA

TPC Deere Run

Quick Quotes

Q. We've heard the golf course was tough earlier in the rain or golf course was easier earlier in the rain; how was it for you?

SEAMUS POWER: I thought it was kind of tougher earlier, just trying to adjust to the ball was going nowhere compared to a couple days ago the fairways were firm and it was warmer. I thought it was a little bit trickier, but the greens are still soft so you can still get at some pins from the fairways.

Q. At this point in the year with different things coming up for different players, how pleased are you to get a good finish under your belt?

SEAMUS POWER: Yeah, delighted. I kind of had a lot of ground to make up and kind of working on it still. But any time you get a decent finish out here, you've got to play well, you've got to work hard. Yeah, delighted. There's still going on all around the world here in the next few weeks, so it's nice to get some points under my belt and have something to build on.

Q. How good are you feeling now for the rest of the season?

SEAMUS POWER: Yeah, my game is in a good spot at the moment, so it obviously kind of helps the mind be a little bit more relaxed, but I've still got a lot of work to do to get at least in the Top 125 to get in the Playoffs. That's going to be my main goal for now, and I think I've got the next two weeks coming up, so obviously I'll enjoy today and start again on Tuesday.
