Quick Quotes

Q. Seven birdies, no bogeys, pretty about feeling, isn't it?

RYAN PALMER: It is. I've done that a lot in my career, saved my best for Sundays. There's something that gets inside of me when I'm close. I know I can shoot low on any day but especially when it counts the most on Sunday. Today was a matter of as long as I put the ball in good position and made some good putts, and I was able to putt the ball well today.

It's exciting to play well for sure leading up into The Open next week, and yeah, I love where my game's at. I'm excited to get over there next week.

Q. Watching your scores for the first three days, it's always been this momentum, to actually deliver on Sunday has been great but there's been moments during the week which have been good as well?

RYAN PALMER: No doubt. Thursday was huge for me, seeing where my game was at. I wasn't sure what to expect coming into the week. To go out and shoot 5-under, I felt like I left one or two out there but played solid on Friday. Just had one double-bogey on 3. Played great yesterday. Save the best for last is always great.

Q. What do you make of this links golf?

RYAN PALMER: I love it. I talk about it with a lot of friends back home. I just enjoy it. The shots you hit; you've got to use your imagination. What I enjoy the most it the fans. They are so respectful of golf shots. You don't have to hit it close to get their applause. They know when a good shot's made. I always enjoy coming over here and I'm excited to spend one more week.

Q. And you're lead American.

RYAN PALMER: There you go. So that's a good notch I guess on my hat.

But it's great to play well for sure, and give myself a chance, and kind of see what happens.

Q. You have got a chance, haven't you. Coming in now, they have just stopped because of the thunder and lightning. You can't go anywhere now, do you. You could be out there again?

RYAN PALMER: I'm obviously on a charter heading over to Royal St. George's, but go inside and I guess they just called it, like you just said. So I'll go have a light snack and we'll see what happens.
