Quick Quotes

Q. How did you feel going into today compared to your other two rounds?

KEVIN SUTHERLAND: I felt better going into today's round than I did yesterday, just because I didn't play very well the first day. I kind of got it around pretty well and I hit the ball well yesterday so I kind of feel like I was maybe gaining a little momentum. Today, it was hard to tell. It was just so up and -- crazy day. We were waiting around and then all of a sudden got another delay, and so I thought I handled it all pretty well for the most part. I played really well on the back side like I did yesterday. But I'm hitting the ball better, it seems like it's getting better as the week goes on.

Q. Can you describe your approach going into that back nine? You birdied two of your last five.

KEVIN SUTHERLAND: Yeah, for some reason I played well in the second round, too. Those are a set of holes that it seems like they fit my eye a little bit and I've managed to hit some good shots and obviously you're holing putts, but one thing I've done is I've given myself opportunities and I don't think I can say that so much on the front nine. I haven't really -- I feel like I'm kind of just trying to grind myself through the front nine, and parring 10 is a huge bonus. That's a really hard hole. It almost feels like a par-5, and I've parred it all three days, and to par it the first three days is a big bonus.

Q. Are you going to change your approach going into that front nine for tomorrow?

KEVIN SUTHERLAND: Yeah, you know it would be nice to birdie 2 and maybe get a good look on 1. I haven't done that. I birdied it the first day, but the second hole -- it's just nice to get it under par early and it always seems like I've been over par early so I'm always kind of fighting from behind so I think getting off to a good start tomorrow is going to be huge for me.

Obviously I would like to make a little bit of a run tomorrow. You never know what will happen. I think I'm five or six back right now but still you never know. But I need to get off to a fast start.

Q. What's your preparation for tomorrow look like?

KEVIN SUTHERLAND: Same as it's been, get some rest, just go out ready to play.
