Quick Quotes

Q. Patty, ANA we saw a win out of you and now a T5 finish at the KPMG Women's PGA. How are you feeling after this final day?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: You know, it wasn't my best off the tee today. I just kept hitting it left, and I feel like I hit a lot of good shots. My approach shots were really, really good, solid. If anything there's a lot of positives to take out of this. I mean, I don't even have my gamer driver, and I still managed to finish T5.

A lot of good things going on here. I mean, I don't really want to beat myself up after a solid week, but there's a lot of work to do.

Q. What do you plan on working on as we head down kind of the gauntlet more of events down the road?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Well, first and foremost I feel like I need to figure out my driver situation. If anything just hit 3-woods a little straighter, too. I feel like without my driver gamer, it's just a different timing, a different momentum, and just swing-wise, and then it just screwed up basically the rest of the woods.

There's stuff to work on, and I'm really glad I finished fifth this week, and it could have been worse.

Q. You had to go through a couple things this week that we really wouldn't see normally out of you. How satisfied are you with the performance despite some of the obstacles that you had?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: I feel like I showed some toughness out there today, and overall I'm just really happy with this week and having my whole crew here today, it really just helped me and put my mindset into the right way, too, just finishing the last few holes.

Q. You mean crew as in Grant and all that?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, my boyfriend is here, and his wife, and it just feels like home.

Q. Did Grant give you any kind of mindset reminders before heading into this round?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, again, I hit really, really good on the driving range today. I thought it would be a good day today. It was kind of a totally different scenario. Like yesterday I hit it really, really bad on the driving range and managed to shoot 7-under, and today I like a stripe show on the range and came out here and couldn't hit fairways. It's perspective. Golf is not a game of being perfect and all that stuff, but at the end of the day I'm just glad I finished fifth and had a solid week and a lot of good things to look back to.
