TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

June 25, 2021

Bryson DeChambeau

Cromwell, Connecticut, USA

TPC River Highlands

Quick Quotes

Q. How would you assess today's round versus yesterday?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah, yesterday I ball struck it horrifically. It was really bad. Fortunate enough I was able to work on some things yesterday and found a little something else added to the right wrist flexion I found at the U.S. Open.

Today it worked pretty well. Drove it a lot better. Hit my irons a lot better. Was a lot more comfortable. Missed a couple shots here and there, but for the most part it was a big turn around. Again, right when I started ball striking it better my putting kind of goes. It's is never-ending battle.

But I'm a little tired from last week, but I'm excited for the weekend. If I can get some good rest and feel comfortable on the greens and keep driving it and ball striking it like I am, feel like I could have a good chance.

Q. You finished T6 here last year. How comfortable would you say you are on this golf course?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Very, very comfortable. There are only a couple holes that are pretty difficult for me visually. Other than that, I love this golf course through and through. I feel like there are so many opportunities. I gave myself so many chances today I just didn't capitalize on.

I've done that every year. It feels like at some point I'll win out here. I just got to take advantage when ball striking is well and putting is well.

Q. Let's talk about that. Going into the weekend, what's one thing that you feel like you really need to do better to possibly get that win here this week?

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah, I just think rolling it better on the greens. For some reason just couldn't start it on my line today. The rain kind of made the greens play a little different. Just couldn't adjust to it.

Made a great putt on 17, but never felt truly comfortable on the greens all day. I'm going to go work on that. If I can do that, I can give myself a good chance. But ball striking a lot better. If I can keep doing that like I did today, again, I'm going to have a good chance.
