KPMG WOMEN'S PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

June 25, 2021

Esther Henseleit

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Atlanta Athletic Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Take me through that finishing hole right there on No. 18.

ESTHER HENSELEIT: Yeah, so they moved the tee up, and I hit a drive from there in the practice round. If you hit a good one, it's not that far to the green, and I was driving it pretty good all day, so I decided to go with the driver. I had 190 meters to the pin. Just hit a good 5-wood. Was a touch left but made it over the water, and when I chipped in for eagle, yeah, great way to finish the round.

Q. What's it been like the past couple of days preparing for this major championship?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: It's been nice. I played good the last two weeks. Just felt like I couldn't really get four good rounds in. And yeah, my swing feels good. My coach is here, and I really love the course. I think it's such a great challenge. Yeah, I just enjoy every second of it.

Q. What have you seen come together in your game? You said you've been playing well the last couple of weeks. What's really been hitting its stride the last couple events?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: I think my driver is very solid, and my irons are, too. I'm not really missing many greens.

Yeah, if the putter is good I think I can play a lot of birdies, and yeah, that just worked well the last two days. But I feel like there are more birdies out there, and I hope that I can do that the next few days.

Q. Were there any differences today playing Atlanta Athletic Club as opposed to yesterday?

ESTHER HENSELEIT: Yeah, definitely. I think yesterday most of the pins were in the back, and today most of the pins were in the front. It actually was also hard to go for the pins in the front because you don't want to miss it short.

Most of the time the wind was helping, so it was kind of hard to stop the ball. But yeah, played completely different today.
