TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

June 24, 2021

Brooks Koepka

Cromwell, Connecticut, USA

TPC River Highlands

Quick Quotes

Q. Brooks, how would you assess the round today?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Pretty poor the first couple holes. Couldn't figure out speed of the greens. They're a lot faster than the putting greens, so struggled with the speed.

I mean, it's pretty flat. Kind of how I feel.

Q. Is that just maybe a little bit of being tired after last week, the grueling week that it was?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, I'm awful the week after a major, especially U.S. Open, because it takes so much out of you.

But still should have played better. No excuse. I mean, I'm kind of tired. I am going to enjoy getting to bed tonight.

Q. Was there one part of the game -- was it just the putting, getting used to the speed of the greens?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, it was just the swing. Didn't feel like I swung it that great. It was all kind of ho-hum. Wasn't really -- I felt like the wind was swirling, too.

I hit some good shots and just felt like -- like the one on 16. Hit my number exactly where we wanted to pitch it. Should have been in off the left, and starts pulling down off the right.

So just little things like that. In the afternoon it gets windy, so you see that because there are a lot trees of?

Q. What do you feel like you have to do better tomorrow to post a good number?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, just play good tomorrow and be fine.
