Quick Quotes

Q. 5-under total. Great round. What was working well?

JEONGEUN LEE6: Yeah, I played well today. I definitely satisfied with my results. I got only one bogey and I made five birdies, so just I focused on one shot at a time, yeah.

Q. What was the difference between yesterday and today?

JEONGEUN LEE6: Not different, just similar to yesterday. I focus on the backswing plan, so...

But I two more days, I will now play well.

Q. Those four birdies on your back nine, take us through those.

JEONGEUN LEE6: Pardon?

Q. The four birdies on the back nine, take us through what was working so well.

JEONGEUN LEE6: Oh, just I feel good my shot, with my shot, and my putting was good of the speed, so I made, yeah, four birdies.

Q. Have you been working on your putting heading into the major?

JEONGEUN LEE6: Yeah, I practiced a lot. I practiced speed control, yeah.

Q. Does this week feel different being a past champion?

JEONGEUN LEE6: Yeah, it is different. This week I feel more nervous. I don't know why. (Laughter.)

Q. This is your fifth start at the U.S. Women's Open. You have three top 6 finishes at this event and you're in contention again. What about the U.S. Women's Open brings out the best in your game?

JEONGEUN LEE6: (Through translation.) Well, I gained a great confidence because I win the championship, throughout the U.S. champion.

And for this course I think I need a lot to focus on that course, because the course is not that easy. But however, with my focus and with my attention and efforts, I think I can do better.

Q. What's the most challenging part of the course for you?

JEONGEUN LEE6: (Through translation.) Well, I think I need to make a shot for this, throughout the courses, and I have to -- I have to make the draws and fade, and especially for the tee shot. You know, I need to make that shot to that fairway.
