Q. Michelle, who said earlier this week you are not looking forward to navigating this rough, how were the conditions out there today?

MICHELLE WIE WEST: It was good for the most part until I hit hole 16. I got in that deeper rough and it was definitely penal. Couldn't get 9-iron out. Still was in the rough still. It's hard. They cut it down though. I have to say it's shorter from the beginning of the week a little bit.

But I think it's going to get longer from here. It's a tough golf course. I'm proud of how I played today. I felt like 3-over was the worst I could have shot today, so hopefully tomorrow I can get back in it.

Q. You're in such a unique position here this week playing from home, sleeping in your own bed. How would you describe the experience?

MICHELLE WIE WEST: It's so much fun. A lot of my friends came out today which was really nice to see fans in general, but also my friends in the crowd, my husband and my family. It's been a lot of fun so far.
