Quick Quotes

Q. Lexi, can you just tell me how the course played today versus your practice rounds.

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, well, they moved a few tees up. Definitely played a little bit easier, I guess, but still played difficult. You still have to hit those tee shots. They grew up the rough, not like they really mowed it.

But you have to keep it in the fairway out here and hit a nice ball flight and sometimes curve it into the fairways. Besides the few tees that were moved up, nothing played different. Still a really difficult golf course.

Q. You had three great birdies in a row. Could you walk us through those, if you could.

LEXI THOMPSON: Let's see, what was my first one? I'm trying to think. Oh, the par-3. Par-3 I hit a 7-iron to about 15 feet and made it up the hill there, and then the next hole I hit 3-wood on the fairway, and then I hit a wedge that got pulled and bounced left to the left fringe, and I had like 40 feet. Definitely just wanted to two-putt, but ended up making it. So that's always a bonus.

Then next hole -- why can't I remember? Next hole, par-3. I hit a three-quarter 9-iron to about 15 feet and straight up the hill.

Q. Lastly, game plan for tomorrow, any changes?

LEXI THOMPSON: Try to get as much sleep as I possibly can. No, same game plan. I came into to today just -- it's honestly just a blessing to be out here and playing this golf course. It's unbelievable. I'm just looking forward to the week. I've just been trying to enjoy myself more and not really have golf be life or death.

So it's difficult for me. But just going out there and having a good time with my caddie and keeping in those fairways and really committing to my lines, that's the biggest part of being out here.
