Q. Maja Stark, even par today, in the top 20 first round. Got to be happy with how you played.

MAJA STARK: Yeah. I'm pretty happy. I think I played pretty solid. Missed a few fairways and you really get punished when you do that, then I had a three putt.

It's U.S. Open so you can expect that. I think there is -- I can play better for sure. So I'm not totally happy with the day.

Q. And pretty steady, birdies at 1, 15, and 16, so really not a lot of the big issues out there.

MAJA STARK: No. I think I had a lot of good opportunities, but I didn't really have any easy putts. There was one I guess where I had an easy birdie, but I feel like the other ones, they were like 15 feet so they weren't given.

So I think I hit a lot of good putts out there, but I had a bit of trouble reading the putts.

Q. What was the best thing you did out there today? Must have driven the ball well.

MAJA STARK: Yeah, I think I did. As I said, I missed couple fairways but I usually miss a lot more than that. Pretty happy with my driver and I think that my ball striking was good today.
