Q. Just tell us a little bit about your round today.

SARAH SCHMELZEL: It was an interesting one, to say the least. The first probably third of the round I wasn't really hitting many fairways and greens.

Fortunately, was figuring out a way to make a couple birdies and made some really good pars through the first six holes.

Then just kind of stayed steady the rest of the way, the rest of the way in. Obviously kind of bummed to bogey 18. All in all, a pretty solid day and a good start.

Q. What should players expect to see the rest of the day?

SARAH SCHMELZEL: I don't know if the wind's going to kick up. Honestly, it's set up so well. It's so fair, if you're hitting good shots, you're going to get rewarded. Then on the other end, it's very penal if you're not hitting good shots. I think it will be a great afternoon.
