THE MODERATOR: We are pleased to will come our defending champion A Lim Kim to the media area. How does it feel to be here as the defending champion?

A LIM KIM: It is my honor to be defending champion in here, and they've treated me so well. This is my first experience to be treated as a defending champion, and everyone here is so nice to me, and everyone took care of me so well so far.

Q. How has your life changed since winning the U.S. Open?

A LIM KIM: It is so positive for me, and I can't have more big dreams.

Q. Describe the last six months of your life to us.

A LIM KIM: Well, in the first place, I couldn't believe so, and next I was able to challenge more, and for now, I think I'm at the wall. I need to break through it.

Q. You talked about big dreams; can you articulate maybe how that win at the U.S. Women's Open changed your view of your game and sort of what the possibilities are?

A LIM KIM: Well, actually I was playing the Korean Tour, and I never dreamed about the American U.S. Tour. But this can be realistic for me at this moment, and my dreams can come true.

At this moment I'm able to make a bigger dream, and as I always dreamed from my childhood, I'm here, and I can be a top player in a U.S. championship.

Q. How would you describe this championship to a player who's never played in this event before?

A LIM KIM: Well, actually I want to support all of the players who participated in the leagues and tournament, and in fact, I was lucky to have a chance to participate in this tournament. Not only for myself but also all the players can have that lucky chance for their lives.

Q. Still so many fans know so little about you. If you could tell a fan something that they don't know about yourself, what would it be?

A LIM KIM: Well, actually I love golf, and I'm a big, huge fan of golf play, and I'm so mischievous, little girl. So if my English is well enough, I can joke around to everybody, but I cannot yet. I think this is my limit for now, and to my surprise, so many people even didn't know personally; however they treated me so well, and they treated me as a defending champion. I was so touched, and everybody is so nice and they were so awesome, actually.

I want to be that awesome player in my personal life, as well, and I can be that awesome player in the future.

Q. All of our Korean friends tell us that you're actually quite funny. Do you consider yourself to be a comedian?

A LIM KIM: Well, actually they tell me that I'm unique and I'm funny, and so far I was told that I'm not ordinary.

Q. When you see that trophy, what does it make you feel?

A LIM KIM: So familiar with that.

Q. So few players have won this championship in their first try; how do you think you were able to do it?

A LIM KIM: Well, frankly, let me be honest with you. I think I was lucky.
