Quick Quotes

Q. Danielle Kang, 2-up winner over Bronte Law. Seemed like your match had it all, kind of who wants it more, and obviously you did with the win. Take us through how tough of a match that was.

DANIELLE KANG: I don't necessarily that think who wants it more and I wanted it more than her. Honestly, there is no competitor out here that wants to probably -- I get the vibe of I want to beat you more than Bronte. I feel it all day, and she's a feisty competitor and I know she can have some clutch shots and clutch putts.

She played pretty solid today. I actually kind of hacked it around a little bit and saved a lot shots. But it was kind of a stressful match today for me because I know that Bronte want an easy match.

Q. What's the biggest thing that you do between now and your quarterfinal match? Is it more rest or try to stay loose?

DANIELLE KANG: I'm actually probably just going to take a nap. I need a nap. I brought a pillow.

Q. Take us through the start. You jumped off to the early lead; Bronte came right back. You responded with a couple wins and she made a late run before you closed it out. Just back and forth it seemed like.

DANIELLE KANG: Yeah, a little bit. We hit some really good shots. We both played pretty well on the front nine. She definitely outplayed me in the back nine, but I just think I got away with a lot of things. I technically hit it in the water on 15 and bounced out, and I just told myself, Members bounce.

I just told myself that's the momentum shift, because I needed that. I should have lost that hole but ended up tying it. Made a clutch putt there.

I don't know. I think it was just -- it was a lot of back and forth, but up until the last hole I was just pretty stressed out because I know it was not an easy putt. I've putted with that pin placement and I have three-putted enough times to know that I could still three-putt. It's the beauty 'o Shadow. I know certain pin placements it's just there is a sneaky three-putt just sitting right there.

So it wasn't over for me until I made my six-footer coming back.

Q. Great showing by you both. Good luck this afternoon.

DANIELLE KANG: Thank you.
