BANK OF HOPE LPGA MATCH-PLAY

Jin Young Lo

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Shadow Creek

Quick Quotes

Q. Jin Young, 4&2 win on day one of the Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play. You mentioned yesterday that match play is not necessarily your favorite. Sometimes you're a little nervous. You started off 1-down on the first st hole. Some nerves on the first tee today?

JIN YOUNG KO: No, today my swing feels wasn't good, so I try to find which feel is better for my swing.

But I found a little bit No. 14 or 15, but I had great round with Natalie and even she played good, too. But I played -- I don't know, I don't know. My play wasn't good, but, yeah, I'm lucky.

Q. You played well enough to win. On numbers 3, 4, 5 you had a par, birdie, birdie stretch to move 2up. She took one back on 8, and then you guys were neck and neck until 12. Take us through just kind of that period from Nos. 8 through 12 where you were 1up and then you found birdie on 12. What was the mindset through that kind of stall mate stretch?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, just I wanted to win. I really want to win before No. 15, something, so I tried to focus by myself and I got birdie No. 12.

And it was tough game with Natalie.

Q. Despite not having your best game, do you feel like you found some things to right the ship for tomorrow?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yes, I will practice after this interview and I will -- I hope will be better as next day.
