THE MODERATOR: We're now joined by Coach Mingione. Coach, before we take questions, could you give us your general comments on the game today.

NICK MINGIONE: Well, I thought we had our chances, especially offensively. You saw how many hits we had. We had guys in scoring position, and unfortunately, we didn't cash in and get the timely hits.

I thought defensively we were not as sharp, which led to a couple of their runs. Give them credit, they were resourceful with the hits they did get. But we had our chances, just didn't cash in.

THE MODERATOR: Could you talk a little bit about your team now after this tournament, your situation with the NCAA.

NICK MINGIONE: I've kind of learned my lesson there, but obviously, who knows? I've seen crazier things. Obviously, I'm not in that room. I wish I was. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in that room, but obviously, the committee has a tough job. What they choose to do with our team -- obviously, we didn't win today, so we don't have any more opportunities to state our case. So our resume is what it is at this point today.
