PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

May 23, 2021

Abraham Ancer

Kiawah Island, South Carolina, USA

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island

Quick Quotes

JOHN DEVER: We are joined by Abraham Ancer, who `scored a 65 today, 7-under par, qualities him to he is T10. Just stellar play all the way through.

Just tell us, this wind is kicking up. It reversed a little bit from what we're understanding. Talk about that but more so how you felt out there today and what went right.

ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, obviously I felt great. I hit the ball really well today off the tee. I don't think I missed really any tee balls. I hit every single one exactly where I was -- where I wanted to hit it, so that obviously helped me a lot.

The wind, it wasn't blowing that much probably in the first four or five holes and then started to pump. Completely different direction, so the golf course played completely different. Par-3s, par-5s, everything played completely different, and I liked it. I guess it set up better for me with my shots coming into the greens and everything. I was working the ball nicely with the wind and kind of getting close to some pin placements that I couldn't get close to the previous days.

I rolled it nicely. I hit the ball really good and just played solid.
