PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

May 21, 2021

Abraham Ancer

Kiawah Island, South Carolina, USA

The Ocean Course at Kiawah

Flash Quotes

THE MODERATOR: We are pleased to be joined by Abraham Ancer, who posted a second round even par 72. Abraham is currently 2-over par for the Championship. At this very moment, he's tied for 59th.

Not a lot of circles or boxes on your scorecard today. So steady golf, is that the best way to describe it?

ABRAHAM ANCER: Yeah, pretty steady. Hit the ball great. I just didn't make anything. I struggled on the greens today, hit the ball really well, got up and down a couple times, and couldn't get up and down a couple times, but nothing -- yeah, very boring kind of round.

I wish I would have made a lot more birdies. I had the opportunity to do so. I just didn't convert.

THE MODERATOR: What would you describe as someone -- the wind compared to yesterday.

ABRAHAM ANCER: It's probably a little bit stronger for sure. Start early, 7:30, and the first three holes wasn't blowing that hard, but then it started to pick up. By hole 15 -- 14, 15, it was starting to pump pretty good. It's just going to be like this all day, I think.

Yeah, it was tough. It's a tough golf course. Obviously, I want to be happy with even par. It's obviously a good score, but I just left so many putts out there that I wish I would have made, and I know that would have gone a long way on that leaderboard.

Just got to keep plugging along, and hopefully they'll fall on the weekend.
