Quick Quotes

Q. 7-under 65. How good is it to turn in a clean card today?

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, I did think about it halfway through the back nine. I was like, I haven't had a round without a bogey for quite sometime. I've been playing well. You know, this golf course is really there for the taking, so if there was ever one to do it on, it would be this one.

Q. When the golf course is serving up the way it is, how much pressure do you feel to be offensive and take risks and get after it?

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Yeah, especially after last week, Quail Hollow is such a tough golf course and you have to be very strategic. I found myself through the first 12 holes being too conservative, and I turned to my caddie and said, Course is soft. I don't think we can keep hitting away from the flags. It's a mental shift. I tried to be a bit more aggressive.

Bit off more than I would've expected the last few holes there.

Q. Technically-wise, what do you think was clicking well for you today to allow you to turn in this score?

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I have been playing good for a couple weeks now. Just everything -- this course driving is quite easy, so it's all second shots, trying to get them close enough. End of the day this tournament is going to come down to a putting contest, who putts the best.

Q. All right. Best of luck.

CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Thanks.
