Nathaniel Crosby

Juno Beach, Florida, USA

Seminole Golf Club

Golf Channel Interview

Q. How challenging have the last few days been for you with the lineup changes and all of the illnesses?

NATHANIEL CROSBY: It's been bizarre for a lot of reasons. I think this event was such a challenge to put together. Going in the last few months, Robby Zalzneck of the USGA, they jumped through a lot of hoops to make this event happen.

Then for the guys, both sides, I think we're 8-7; we have a 1-up lead on who got sick this week. Out of the 12 players on each team, I think it was 15 guys got sick and both captains. It wasn't much fun the last few days. But we were worried the three or four other guys that didn't get sick were going to wake up this morning with a problem, so we had all sorts of variables and considerations.

Q. How were you able do put together this afternoon's lineup based upon what you know health-wise?

NATHANIEL CROSBY: Well, fortunately both the R&A and the USGA were flexible with their terms. Normally we would have had to have had the lineups in for both morning and afternoon yesterday at 3:00, but we actually were able to delay this morning's until late last night, and then this afternoon's just had to be due at midday.

It was great that they were flexible. You wouldn't want to put guys out there that were sick and order them to play 36 holes.
