PAC-12 CONFERENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

March 11, 2021

Warith Alatishe

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Oregon State Beavers

Postgame Press Conference

Oregon State - 83, UCLA - 79.

Q. This was a career high for you. Did you sense coming into the game that you were going to have to be a scorer today?

WARITH ALATISHE: Not necessarily. All I knew was I was going to do everything I could to help my team win.

Q. If you look at the ups and downs of this season and it seemed like this game kind of portrayed what you guys have gone through, how big of a win was this just confidence-wise being able to come, overcome what you did?

WARITH ALATISHE: It does a lot for our confidence, honestly. Because we were struggling to start the game, but as the game went on we kind of built confidence and just relied on our teammates a little bit more.

Q. You guys have obviously come back from a lot of these big deficits this year and won. What's that feeling like on the bench when you guys are down by pretty sizeable margins? It apparently doesn't seem to bother you guys at all?

WARITH ALATISHE: We just try to keep a strong mental, just a next-play mentality and just have each other's back just to get over the hump.
