ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

March 6, 2021

Lorela Cubaj

Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Postgame Press Conference

NC State 66, Georgia Tech 61

Q. Lorela, Cunane kind of caught fire there at the end. But up to that point, did you think you had contained her as well as you could have hoped to and is that something you fear from a player like that?

LORELA CUBAJ: Yeah, we were doing our best to contain her. At the end of the day we've just got to do that for 40 minutes. Yeah, the last four minutes were crucial and she showed up, so we just had to do a better job. She's a great player, so credit to her.

Q. I was just wondering, what can you take from the loss today into the future?

LORELA CUBAJ: We just have to make sure that we play 40 minutes. NC State is a really good team. We cannot just show up like for 35 minutes. We've just got to be hard all the time, go hard all the time. Yeah, pretty much just stick with it for all 40 minutes because they are a great team and they can come back whenever.

Q. Could you talk about your own play here the last couple of nights? It seemed like when they needed a big shot, for a lot of times you were there, especially down the stretch, in the third quarter, and how do you feel about your game going into the NCAAs?

LORELA CUBAJ: Pretty confident. I'm glad that my teammates and my coaches are making me feel comfortable about my game. I'm just trying to just do whatever it takes for the team to win.
