SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

March 4, 2021

Ariyah Copeland

Greenville, South Carolina, USA

Alabama Crimson Tide

Postgame Press Conference

Alabama 82, Missouri 74

THE MODERATOR: Ariyah Copeland has joined us. Questions, please.

Q. You really took over down the stretch there and became the go-to run stopper, if you will, any time Alabama needed to get a basket. How did you feel in that role, just having to play a different role than maybe you did at the start of the game?

ARIYAH COPELAND: Just realizing the position that we were in, we know Missouri made their run, I think it was time to make ours. I wanted to be that one to step up for us, and I just kind of correlated from there.

Q. Give us your general thoughts on the next game tomorrow against South Carolina.

ARIYAH COPELAND: It's just the next game. We are looking ahead. This is our third time playing them, so we are not going to back down. Like I said, it's just the next game for us. We're going to give it everything we got.

Q. The next game against South Carolina, guarding their big people, what do you need to do to be effective and help your team win this game?

ARIYAH COPELAND: The main thing I can say it's all about who is going to play harder, who is going to want it more.

THE MODERATOR: That is it. Thank you very much.

ARIYAH COPELAND: Thank you. Roll Tide.
