ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT SCOTTISH OPEN

July 16, 2017

Matthieu Pavon

Ayrshire, Scotland

Q. Your final round 66, and very impressive week from you?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, that was very nice. I played great yesterday and today. Badly I finished with a double-bogey on 1 yesterday, so it was a bit kind of revenge today, and I started well and everything was going in the right way. So that's a great card. Very happy with that.

Q. You made a very positive start today, plenty of early birdies, which must have settled you into the round.
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, I mean, I was just making a few birdies when I start the round, so I just try to keep going and going and going. So it was just great. It was just great.

Q. What was the feeling, to sink that birdie putt there on 18?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Well, that's nice. I told you I made a double-bogey yesterday, like bad one. So today I played it more aggressive. Try to find the green. I did it and just make two putts to make a good birdie.

Q. And in a Rolex Series event with plenty of ranking points, this is an achievement with the points you'll collect this week?
MATTHIEU PAVON: Yeah, that's a big jump. My card is secure for next year I think. I have new objective and I try to qualify myself for The Race to Dubai at the end of the year.

Q. And it's very likely you'll be playing at Royal Birkdale next week, as well, in The Open.
MATTHIEU PAVON: I hope so. I'm waiting for a few guys on the course but I have fingers crossed for that.
