U.S. OLYMPIC SWIM TRIALS

June 28, 2016

Townley Haas

Omaha, Nebraska

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: It's incredible. Yeah, I'm still kinda in shock, but I felt really good going into it and a little nervous but, you know, I finished strong and out touched him.

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: Oh, I mean, you know, it's always -- you know it's always sad to not make it but, you know, coming back and winning the 200 Free, you know, my best event, it's kind of in the back of my head now just to (away from mic.)

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: Not really. I mean, I knew they were -- Dwyer was next to me and Lochte was on the other side, but I just kinda put my head down at the end and tried to finish as fast as I could.

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: You know, I don't know. I mean, I was sad but, you know, it's my first Trials, my first race I got third. It's pretty hard to be sad with that.

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: Incredible. I mean, you know, I guess it's just -- never thought I would be here, let alone making the team my first time.

Q. (No microphone.)
TOWNLEY HAAS: I mean, just like (away from mic.) But just like -- it's all still amazing to me. Just trying to soak it in, I guess.
