STANFORD UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL MEDIA CONFERENCE

October 24, 2026

Nico Brown

Stanford, California, USA

Postgame Media Conference

Stanford 31, NC State 28

Q. Nico, talk about the continued connection you build with Davis.

NICO BROWN: Yeah, Davis is a great kid. We put a lot of work in in the off-season, a lot of work during the week of preparation. He handles himself like a professional. All credit to that guy.

Makes it easy to play with a guy like that. He's an ultimate leader. As we go into the back end of this season, excited we built the chemistry and continue to roll.

Q. Two touchdowns for you in this one. Talk about what was clicking for you to find the end zone.

NICO BROWN: Yeah, I think all goes credit to our scheme and the game plan that we put in. We put a lot of work in, like I said, in the week in practice. The second one came, we talked about it all week, to get on the goal line, flip my eyes around, Davis would paint it on me. Happy it worked out that way.

But all credit to the coaches for developing that game plan.

Q. You've obviously done a nice job adjusting from the FCS level to the FBS. Talk about making that transition.

NICO BROWN: It's a good question.

I think ultimately football's football. Just playing my guy versus their guy, playing my brand of football. I don't think I try to look into FCS, FBS. It's just the game of football, go out there and compete.

Q. Another former FCS guy, Caden. Talk about what he's been bringing to the room.

NICO BROWN: Yeah, he's a guys that I love. He works his butt off in practice. We feast off each other's energy. It's a good thing that I got a guy in the room that we can feed off each other like that.

Q. You got off to a hot start in this one. What was the key to your ability to jump out early?

NICO BROWN: Coach Pritchard talked all week about starting fast in this one. I think all the guys on the offense worked as a unit to do that. It showed out on the field.

Q. Could you talk about anything that you saw planning for this game with the NC State defense, what you thought was exploitable?

NICO BROWN: Hmmm, yeah, that's a good question.

I think through preparation we knew they were going to play a lot of man, a lot of cover three. We just put our trust in the coaches and the scheme we work on all week. Then it's just up to us to practice hard and execute that in the game.
