Q. Darion, what was the vibe like in the locker room after this one?

DARION WHITE: Happy we got the W, but not satisfied coming from a defensive standpoint. We gave up too many points in too many areas and some points. But we got the W at the end of the day, so satisfied about that.

Q. What do you think you're going to see on film when you go back and watch this?

DARION WHITE: Positivity. We'll start with the positive. It was a real physical team, real physical defense. We like how the offense responded. We just, we're physical, we played our brand of football, our tone of football. We're also going to see those -- had a couple of misfits, a couple of MAs, a couple of errors. Just going to get that fixed come Monday.

Q. I asked Coach Traylor a similar question, but do you think coming off the great performance against Texas on defense, do you think maybe that affected your performance a little bit today?

DARION WHITE: Honestly, this is my mentality every game, honestly come out and be me. Be me, be what the team needs from me. I guess you can say playing a Power Five team like Texas, it does give the team confidence.

At the end of the day, that's just me. I love this game of football, very passionate about this, yes, sir.

Q. Were there any differences you noticed in the way the defense played last week versus this week? What sort of changed for you guys?

DARION WHITE: I wouldn't say anything necessarily changed. Just got to come out firing all cylinders at the beginning. As you see, we fought, we fought really hard. That was a good offense. Credit to them, hat's off to them. Their backup quarterback No. 2 ran the offense really well. But this is about us, so just got to keep getting better.

Q. What is the atmosphere like on the sidelines when you guys go down 14-0 that early?

DARION WHITE: One thing I can say is I love these guys. We love each other. We have a big family going on. Everybody was picking everybody up. We knew we were still in the fight. We know what kind of team we have. Trials and tribulations are going to come, but we're going to fight.

Q. Were you surprised the way you guys responded to that?

DARION WHITE: No, sir, that's us. That's how we respond. So yes, sir, I'm not surprised there.

Q. Coach Traylor mentioned the defense might be feeling a little disappointed after this performance even though you guys got the win. Are you disappointed?

DARION WHITE: Not disappointed, but just not satisfied as a defense. I feel like all of our defensive staff, defensive players, we hold ourselves to a standard. It's the way we play football around here, 210 football. Our style of football, play a physical brand.

We weren't satisfied at all. I wouldn't say disappointed, but very not satisfied.

Q. Did you feel like you attacked the field, the runs and gaps the same way you did against Texas or you slacked there a little bit today?

DARION WHITE: We attacked it. Like I said, it was a good offense. Credit to them. They hit a few runs, but we still were sound, still didn't back down. So that's good.

Q. How would you say that you balanced the confidence vibe?

DARION WHITE: We did pretty good. I'd say we had a tough first four games. So we did pretty good coming out of this thing 3-1. Everybody together, got a good healthy team. I would say we did pretty good as a team, yes, ma'am.

Q. And what are you looking forward to starting conference next week?

DARION WHITE: Keep this thing rolling. No backing down, no slowing down, no going backwards. Keep getting better, just keep rolling. Yes, ma'am.

Q. As the wins hopefully keep piling on, how do you expect to see the atmosphere in this stadium change with more fans coming in and a winning culture around the school?

DARION WHITE: I expect pack up the dome. Pack up the dome. Come see. Come see this brand of football. As Coach Traylor say, we back. We back, baby. So let's do it.
