CHICAGO FIRE MEDIA CONFERENCE

July 25, 2026

Puso Dithejane

Chicago, Illinois, USA

Press Conference

NYCFC - 3, Chicago Fire - 1

Q. Tough loss today. Tell us what you think didn't go right for the team in your opinion.

PUSO DITHEJANE: Today the team played well and hard work outside, but they didn't, like, finish our (indiscernible). We take the loss and we go improve and see what happens next week.

Q. After the press conference, Gregg was telling us what happened with Mbokazi, your teammate from South Africa. What does his loss mean for this team? What does losing Mbokazi these next few weeks, months, because of the injury, mean for the team?

PUSO DITHEJANE: I'd say losing Mbokazi for the team, it's a bad thing we lost him to injury, but we have players that can do what he's been doing and play well.

Q. The games this month, August coming up, what is it to get to win again and obviously get momentum back into (indiscernible)?

PUSO DITHEJANE: You have to go to the training sessions and focus there for the work and see what the results will be on those matches.

Q. Obviously playing two games, two losses, unfortunately good players have tough moments, what do you think so far about the pressure?

PUSO DITHEJANE: As far as the pressure, soccer players, we have pressure. All games have pressure. So we have to do as we have, to go for training and focus for the next game.
