STANFORD UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL MEDIA CONFERENCE

November 1, 2025

Ja'Kyrian Turner

Stanford, California, USA

Pitt Postgame Media Conference

Pitt 35, Stanford 20

Q. What's the feeling like? You're Pitt's first 100-yard rusher in a while. It's a career day for you. What are the emotions like being able to win this game for Pitt?

JA'KYRIAN TURNER: I mean, it's a great feeling, but first, I want to start off thanking the O-line. Without them, I wouldn't have done nothing. They did a great job today. But without them, like I said, I wouldn't do nothing.

All praise goes to the O block.

Q. At what point this week did you know maybe you were going to have a chance to start and play as much as you did?

JA'KYRIAN TURNER: In practice. Just going through the motions, just practicing hard and going hard every day, just knowing that I'm going to have an opportunity to play.

Q. How do you feel like you've grown this season? Desmond in and out of the lineup, you've gotten a lot more opportunities. Where do you feel like you've grown the most since the start of the year?

JA'KYRIAN TURNER: It started in fall camp, just day in, day out, coming in at 5:30, coming in early, just getting in film, watching, studying, preparation, just knowing what I'm going to do whenever my opportunity comes, just stepping up to the table.

Q. Looking back a few weeks, you guys won five in a row. After the way you lost those West Virginia and Louisville games, what are the emotions like in the locker room being 7-2 going into this last stretch of November, the way you guys have momentum?

JA'KYRIAN TURNER: I mean, it's a great feeling. Always room for improvement. Just got to keep playing Pitt football, stay up to the standard and just don't get complacent. Just go out there and ball.

Q. Everyone knows what the challenge is going to be after the bye week, three top-15 teams. Why do you feel this team is ready for that challenge?

JA'KYRIAN TURNER: I mean, we've worked in and out, fall camp. We're just ready for whatever comes our way. We've just got to stay to the standard. Every team that we face is going to be great opponents, so we've just got to stay up to the standard and play Pitt football.
