UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL MEDIA CONFERENCE

October 8, 2022

Justin Ademilola

South Bend, Indiana, USA

Press Conference

Notre Dame 28, BYU 20

Q. Justin, what was it like for that fourth and one, that moment, and I assume you know your brother could move like that on his way to the sideline.

JUSTIN ADEMILOLA: That fourth and one where Jay got the stop, we was really excited, you know what I mean? I think I got the stop on the third down and I said, Jay, go get it right now. Let's win it. Let's seal it up, and he did that. Just like what Coach Freeman was saying. I was in the back; I heard.

Jay's a very emotional guy. Every game he puts (indiscernible) on his wrists, on his arm, all over his body, and when it's time to go get it for the brotherhood, he's going to go get it for the brotherhood.

Q. There was a section of the second half where they were handling the ball pretty effectively. What, did you guys sort of buckle up late or was it just executing better? What sort of happened at the end where you were able to get the flow back where you wanted it?

JUSTIN ADEMILOLA: We just had to tweak and adjust a few things, get back on top of some stuff. Switched a few calls and started running a little more stunts to close off the As and Bs a little bit.

Once we found out our tempo, our rhythm...

Q. To build off the second half of Cal, the whole North Carolina game, and this, do you feel like the season is -- the trajectory of the season has changed?

JUSTIN ADEMILOLA: Like Coach Free always says, we're just going to take it one game at a time. We know when we focus on us and our execution, we get the results we want. So we are just going to focus on our execution, and then just be detailed, dependable, and disciplined the whole week. That's what coach has been preaching and that's what the plan is going to be.

Q. Justin, what did you think of the atmosphere?

JUSTIN ADEMILOLA: It was awesome. It was kind of like our last bowl game in Arizona, but a little more fans. It was very loud out there. The energy was there and the guys were excite playing in an NFL stadium. The stadium was beautiful. It was a privilege and a honor, and we appreciate coming out here and also getting the win.
